Classic Türkiye in Eight Days: Bursa to Cappadocia
The western half first — Bursa, Hierapolis and the Pamukkale terraces — then Konya, two Cappadocia nights, Anıtkabir and the Salt Lake, back to İstanbul.

- 8 days · 7 nights

- İstanbul · Bursa · Pamukkale · Konya · Cappadocia · Ankara · Bolu · İstanbul
The country in one circle, western half first
Eight days is enough to draw a closed loop through Türkiye rather than a straight line out and back. This one runs west first: Bursa on the second morning, then the terraces at Pamukkale, then inland to Konya and Cappadocia, and home along the Ankara road.
Taking the west early has a practical logic. The two sites that reward daylight and unhurried footing — Hierapolis and the travertines — fall on day three, while the group is still fresh and before the long interior driving begins.
If you want the reasoning without a package attached, our written guide to the classic Türkiye route works through the order, the ticketing and where the balloon morning belongs. And if a week is all the time you have, Türkiye in seven days sets out what fits and what has to go.
What each day is for
The first day is a transfer and a dinner: you land, you meet your guide, you sleep in Bursa. Nothing is scheduled that a delayed flight could ruin.
Bursa gives the two great Ottoman mosques on the second morning, then the road south. Day three is the heaviest and the best: Hierapolis and the white terraces in the morning, Mevlâna’s Konya in the afternoon, the Sultanhanı caravanserai as the light goes, Cappadocia at night.
Day four belongs entirely to Cappadocia — the valleys, the rock forms, the viewpoints, and, for those who want it, a balloon before breakfast. Day five turns for home through an underground city, the Salt Lake and Anıtkabir, stopping the night at Bolu so that İstanbul begins rested rather than at midnight.
The last three days are İstanbul: the Bosphorus, the historical peninsula, and a final morning at Eyüp and Pierre Loti before the airport.
How this differs from our other eight-day circle
We run two eight-day loops through the same country, in opposite directions, and they are not the same product.
This one takes the west first and keeps more inside the package: driver and guide gratuities are included, and the Pierre Loti cable car on the last morning is covered. Ankara comes late, on day five, paired with the Salt Lake. There is one balloon window, on the Cappadocia morning.
The other one runs inland first — Bolu, Ankara, then Cappadocia early — and offers two optional flying mornings instead of one, Cappadocia and then Pamukkale. It also gives Bursa a fuller morning, with Koza Han and the silk market, and closes that day on the Bosphorus.
Put simply: choose this circle if Pamukkale and Bursa are the reason for the trip and you want the fewest separate line items. Choose the other if a flight over a valley is the reason, and you want two chances at it.
Where we would rather be straight with you
Four stops on this route are commercial: a textile outlet, an onyx workshop, a leather showroom and a shopping outlet. They belong to the group programme and we would rather name them here than have you discover them from the coach. Nothing at any of them is compulsory.
The balloon is not included. It is flown by a licensed operator who decides on the morning, and no operator can promise weather. The Antique Pool at Hierapolis is likewise a separate arrangement rather than a quiet inclusion.
Asking for the offer
Send us your dates, your final passenger count and your rooming list. We will return the eight days written out line by line, with every inclusion and exclusion named and the hotels stated. The per-person figure depends on group size, travel dates and the hotels confirmed, so it belongs in that written offer rather than on this page.

Good to know
- The package is built around İstanbul Airport (IST). Arrival or departure through Sabiha Gökçen (SAW), a domestic airport or another city changes the operation and has to be quoted and confirmed separately.
- Meals on the first and last day are flexible and are arranged around the group's confirmed international flight times. Sightseeing on those two days may be shortened, reordered, substituted or removed when the flight schedule, traffic, security procedures or opening hours require it.
- Day 2, day 5 and day 6 carry long intercity drives. Driving times depend on traffic, weather, roadworks and the legal rest periods a driver must take; the guide and driver arrange comfort and meal stops around them.
- The balloon flight is decided on the morning by the licensed operator and the weather. If it is cancelled, refund or rescheduling follows that operator's confirmed policy.
- Access to the Presidential Complex is a security matter. At most a permitted panoramic stop can be proposed, with no guarantee, and nothing in the programme depends on it.
- Pamukkale and the archaeological sites have uneven, wet, bright and sometimes slippery surfaces; Cappadocia adds stairs, narrow passages and outdoor walking. Mobility needs must be declared before booking so the route can be assessed honestly.
- This route includes commercial stops — a cotton textile outlet at Pamukkale, an onyx workshop in Cappadocia, a leather showroom and the outlet in İstanbul. They are part of the group programme; purchases are entirely voluntary and are made directly between guest and seller.
- Mosque and religious-site visits ask for respectful clothing and compliance with the local visitor rules in force on the day.
- Hotel names, category, board basis and rooming are confirmed in the written offer. If a proposed hotel is unavailable, an equivalent alternative is offered for approval. Early check-in, late check-out and guaranteed connecting rooms are separate arrangements.
- Dietary requirements — halal-friendly, pork-free, vegetarian, vegan, child menus and allergies — should reach us before confirmation; what can be delivered depends on each supplier.
Optional extras
- An early-morning hot-air balloon flight in Cappadocia on day 4 — flown by the licensed balloon operator, quoted separately and confirmed in writing
- Swimming in the Antique Pool at Hierapolis — access rules, towels, changing facilities and timing are confirmed separately
